Supporting people-centered
security and justice

Towards more accountable, responsive and inclusive security and justice

Sustainable development cannot be achieved without peace, stability and effective governance. Conflict and violence have a destructive impact on a country’s development, with citizens bearing the burden of insecurity and injustice.
Our Security and Justice program works in solidarity with communities and civil society to raise local voices in demanding better security, justice and governance outcomes from the government. Key elements are improving accessibility, responsiveness, and accountability of security and justice providers and ensuring women and youth can participate meaningfully in peace and governance processes.
Our work contributes directly to Sustainable Development Goals 5 and 16.
